The Arrival of the Microprocessor

Share |

Venture Capital: Funds flowing into a company, generally during the pre-IPO process, in the form of an investment rather than a loan. These investments are controlled by an individual or small group known as venture capitalists. The investments require a high rate of return and are secured by a substantial ownership position in the business.

Microprocessor: An integrated circuit that contains all the functions of a central processing unit of a computer.

Interviews with Steve Jobs, Ted Hoff, Lew Wolff, Scott Cook, John Gage and John Warnock discussing Silicon Valley's convergence of high-technologies, start-ups, the venture capital industry and the arrival of the microprocessor — which made the personal computer became a reality.
